ABOUT US
About us
Megliadino was born from the heart of Murano, the Venetian island world-renowned for its glassmaking heritage.
Each piece is handcrafted by master artisans, carrying centuries of tradition into the present.
Our mission is to bring the elegance of authentic Murano glassware to America, offering unique creations that transform everyday moments into timeless experiences.
Megliadino glasses are not just objects, they are stories of fire, breath, and beauty, shaped to last a lifetime
Handcrafted Murano Glass Tumbler
Each MEGLIADINO glass is born from the hands of Murano’s master glass artists, where fire meets sand and turns into light. No two pieces are ever identical — the subtle variations in shape, color, or texture are the signature of authentic craftsmanship and the passage of human touch.
Handcrafted, Never Molded
Every glass is entirely handmade and mouth-blown, never produced with molds. The process follows ancient Murano glassblowing techniques, passed down through generations. The material is melted at over 1,400°C and shaped through breath, motion, and instinct — transforming molten glass into a vessel of remarkable balance and clarity.
The Purity of Fontainebleau Sand
The glass composition is based on pure silica sourced from the Fontainebleau sand quarries in France, renowned for its exceptional clarity and low iron content.Mixed with natural minerals and metal oxides, it gives rise to a luminous transparency and vivid, enduring colors unique to Murano glass.
Finishes & Variants
Available in clear, tinted, or murrine-fused versions, each piece captures a different expression of Venetian artistry. The murrine technique — the fusion of small glass canes into intricate mosaics — adds rhythm and individuality, making every glass a distinct work of art. After cooling, every tumbler is cut, polished, and refined by hand, enhancing its texture and brilliance.
Signature & Authenticity
Each MEGLIADINO glass bears the sandblasted MEGLIADINO logo on its base, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity specifying the master glassmaker and the date of creation — ensuring complete traceability and transparency.
Philosophy
A MEGLIADINO glass is not merely an object of use — it’s a fragment of light, shaped by time, fire, and human skill.Designed for those who appreciate imperfection as beauty, and craft as luxury, it celebrates the timeless art of Murano in a contemporary language.
